The Creative DJing & The Music Business courses is comprehensive and imaginative in it’s approach. The courses operates on two tiers – the technical and artistic side of DJing, this includes everything, from operation of state of the art equipment, mixing and scratching techniques, and musical composition. The ‘spine’ of the course is a Music Business unit. This was included as the overwhelming majority of young people that APE MEDIA has worked over the years have all been writing and producing records, and organizing club nights. The unit is designed to inform and empower the students with a practical insight into the industry, covering issues that range from copyright, performers rights, health and safety, marketing, promotion and the law in relation to DJ’s/producers/event organizers. |
Course / Units: There are three units which students can study under this Course. A student can complete a unit in 10 – 16 hours (length dependent on project given covering unit). To complete all three units a student will need to complete a minimum of 36 hours up to a maximum of 64 hours. (A single unit can be studied and accredited, but for course completion we opt for a minimum of two units). |
