APE Media run fashion projects in partnership with The Ugly Kids Club (UK URBAN FASHION AWARD - CUSTOMISERS OF THE YEAR) and Central St Martin’s College, to create and run a series of practical hands on fashion workshops for young people aged 11 – 19yr olds with an interest in fashion/web designing and customization. Our team of experienced tutors are able to teach young people the fundamental techniques of customizing and designing clothes. The Ugly Kids Club is focused on developing raw talent and improves young people’s confidence and stimulating their creative ego.

The fashion element runs 2 key programmes on how young people can acquire the skills and techniques required to customize their own clothes. These are:

(1) Graffiti Art Session

Teaching sessions in various techniques, in which they will be taught how to customize by drawing, making stencils of their designs and applying their designs to their clothes and tee-shirts which we provide, using Fabric-spray paints hand paints and fabric pens for outlining their designs.

(2) Customizing Accessory ‘Bling’ Session

Teaching sessions for young people in various techniques which they can learn to customize by drawing making stencils of their designs and applying their designs to their clothes using Fabric-spray paints hand paints and fabric pens for outlining their designs, also adding diamantes and beads to give their designs a ‘Bling’ affect
