This intensive TV production practical training course, allows you to discover your talent as a programme maker. Using a digital camera and a digital editor you will learn the fundamental techniques of making a 15 - minute television magazine programme for broadcast on Break TV and ITVLOCAL.com/London.

Taught by media professionals from the world of TV and independent directors, our course provides the first step in understanding the role of a Production Assistant, Producer and Broadcast Journalist (emphasis on on-screen presenting). The course promises to deliver a quick and easy modern approach to TV production using a wide variety of content such as interviews, vox pops, narration, soundtracks and special effects.

This week long process equally, facilitates the sharing of ideas and celebrates the young peoples ’culture’. The project has a secondary outcome, as it serves as an accessible and interactive platform, where professionals working with young people gain valuable insight into the ‘needs’ and ‘wants’ of [isolated] young people in their area: who will be actively encouraged to contribute, and give opinions, serving to increase the level of participation in their community.

The output of the course will be aired on Break TV a multi-media, web-based Community Television station, similar in its output to the award winning Public Broadcasting Service network in America, which produced the television hit Sesame Street and ITVLOCAL.com.
